Every ring at Brightcut is bespoke, therefore we do not re-size pre-made rings, which ensures each ring we craft is of the highest quality. While nothing is more accurate than having a professional to measure your ring size, there are tools to assist in determining the exact size.

If you are not able to be sized by a professional jeweler, we have created a printable ring sizer to help you determine the appropriate ring size. Prior to printing, please make sure to set your paper scale to ‘none’ in your print dialog box.

Here are some tips to make your ring size measurement more accurate:

  • Confirm the printed paper size with a ruler.

  • Pull tightly. The sizer must fit snugly but comfortable to remove.

  • Don't measure cold fingers. This is when fingers may be up to half a size smaller.

  • For the most accurate reading measure your finger at the end of the day when it is largest.

Please note: while both the physical and printable ring sizers are great tools, nothing is more accurate than getting sized by a professional jeweler. Please take into consideration the bandwidth of the ring you are purchasing as ring size can vary based on accompanying band width.

Tips for buying the ring for someone else.

  • Most engagement rings are a surprise, which can complicate the ring size measurement. There are a few of our favorite suggestions to help you determine the correct size.

  • Borrow one of your partner’s rings (from the correct finger) and use the “Printable Ring Sizer” to determine the size.

  • Bring her ring to a jeweler to determine the size more accurately. Or, alternatively, try the ring on your own finger by marking the ring spot with a pen to be measured by jeweler.

  • Ask her friends for an assistance, it is not uncommon for one friend to ask for the ring size out of curiosity.

Wrong size guide

Brightcut provides complimentary re-sizing within 60 days of purchase for most engagement rings and wedding bands within the recommended sizing range.

Some of the styles cannot be resized due to their design or metal features. For example, diamond to gemstone eternity rings with a specific number of gemstones per size, or alternative metals such as Tungsten cannot be resized.
